The "Hurva"

In the beginning of the 18th century, Rabbi Yehuda Hasid along with a group of immigrants, built the Hurva Synagogue. After it was destroyed in the 18th century, the Synagogue was rebuilt in the 19th century by part of the Gaon from Vilna's students.
