Neve Shalom Hotel Hotel
General Description
The 41 garden units spaced over 4 rows afford every room a spectacular view of the Ayalon Valley. The grounds are surrounded by welcoming lawns on pleasant corners of the hillside full of trees and greenery, including local culinary and medicinal herbs (barbecue-friendly). The rooms are family-style, each with its own terrace, and every room has individual air conditioning, refrigerator, coffee corner, satellite television, personal safe and telephone.
The community itself is a renowned educational venue, with a Visitors Center, the Doumia-Sakinah Pluralistic Spiritual Center, the non-denominational House of Silence, the School for Peace training and encounter center, and a Peace Library as well as a binational, multi-cultural elementary school.
For hikers and bikers, the community is located along the Trans-Israel Trail and serves as one of its way stations. Many walking trails offer a choice of routes (a popular one is the half-hour hike to the nearby Latrun Monastery) and the surrounding forested areas beckon.
In recent years, the Neve Shalom - Wahat al-Salam area has found itself on several popular bicycling routes for both on-road and mountain biking.
The Yoav-Yehuda region in which the guest house is situated is becoming a must-visit destination for wine and cheese lovers, with many boutique vineyards and goat farms offering a wide variety of select cheeses and excellent quality wines to accompany them.
The Neve Shalom-Wahat al-Salam Guest House is a member of the Judean Hills Hotels Association.
